...and now what?

how rude

Does it ever happen to anyone else that you click a link, and instead of going there, your browser tries to go to that page, but on some other domain entirely? Like for instance, you click on a link to go to msn.com/whatever.htm and instead it takes you to google.com/whatever.htm? If you try to go to those and it takes you to some kind of search engine porn, don't blame me, I just made them up.

That happens to me sometimes. I don't know if it's IE, or my ISP, or what, but it's strange. It tries to go to that page, but it picks some other domain - and it's always a domain I've visited earlier that same day. It's weird. Sometimes I can go back and click again and it works, and other times I have to close and reopen IE, and sometimes I just have to completely give up and use Opera for a while.

Anyway.

A few minutes ago that happened. I was on ebay, and went to click a link to watch a particular item. But instead of trying to use the watch mechanism on ebay.com, for some reason my browser went to yahoo.com. The result, however, was one of the funnier error messages I've ever seen, which was:

"ERROR: Your request has bad syntax or is inherently impossible to satisfy."

I'm not sure which accusation insults me more.

Although the next time someone says something stupid to me, I think I'll try that. "I can't help you. You're inherently impossible to satisfy."

Oh, btw, thanks, Song Analysis Man (can I call you SAM?) for the thoughts, but I'm still skeptical. It's the whole ticket to the world thing. Whence does one depart when one leaves to visit the world? I think I'm just not Spandau Ballet-compatible. Or just inherently impossible to satisfy.
